Holy / Creepy Wedding is part of a more extensive work called Murders.
In Holy / Creepy Wedding I try to recreate the desires, anxieties and pleasures associated with marriage. It is an ironic look totally biased, an opinion of a moment both intimate and alienated, private and public. As a part of Murders this work is a subjective look at the relationship between Eros and Thanatos . It is a quick look at the relationship between sex, life, death and love. It is a question by these strange connections.
It is photography as desire. In Holy / Creepy Wedding the photographs are like gunshots, and we can see fictional murders where the corpse has a certain glamor. Conceptual murders, there are not realism, no blood. The body here leads directly to life. We can say that our corpses enjoy very good health.
Holy / Creepy Wedding arises immediately, like a shot to the temple, is a work that is separated from what I’ve done so far.
Zooms easements therefore large format, film and studio lighting.
Murders in Spain will be the logical continuation .
In Holy / Creepy Wedding to the austerity of the plain background is opposed unexpected place . The light gives us the time . The pose is given by the occasion and the tones are served by the circumstances.
Space and time are now united to produce feelings. They are sensations rapid, fast-feelings, almost instantaneous as the times we are living.
It therefore photography .
I would like to think that this work remains conceptual photography, has strong technical and ideological connections with documentary photography.
